Love Times Three

Last night I was sitting down to watch television and decided to watch Love Times Three on TLC.  Now most of us are no stranger to watching or hearing about Sister Wives on TLC. This show is quite similar to that show except it is a man who is married to 3 women and they all live under one roof with all of their kids.
They discussed losing their sweet daughter Kyra and the choice to be open about their lifestyle was a tribute towards her and also towards the other children. My heart goes out to them for the loss of their daughter.
On this episode they talked about some issues with jealousy that the sisterwives had with each other that they had to overcome. (This would be the one issue I would have with the relationship because I would be worried that my spouse would favour one wife over me.) They also shared the marriage of their daughter, Amanda. She married a man from another community and they had a wedding in the Darger family’s backyard. It looked like a lot of hard work putting together a wedding so quickly but it was beautifully done!
I can’t wait to see more episodes of the Darger family, while I don’t practice plural marriage I do believe they should be allowed to practice without risk of the government coming in and taking away their children or jailing the adults. As long as it is between consenting adults and there is no abuse, who are we to say who in their family or marriage?
